Last Friday night, June 11, I went fishing with my boyfriend. We go very very very often. We got out to the beach and rigged up our poles and he casted them all out. And we settled down to wait for a nibble. We got a few runs but whatever it was kept dropping our bait. I was starting to worry that whatever was playing with our bait, ate it all and there wasnt anything left.
After a couple of hours.. it got dark and my line went "ZZZZZZZZZZ" and I went running for the pole..this time i remembered to tighten up my drag before i set the hook.. i tugged it a good three times to make sure it was set good.. and then i let it run.. after 30 minutes of fighting, we see a fin tip the waves.. and what a huge fin it was.. 90" Lemon Shark.. She was beautiful... released after her photoshoot.
I want to say thanks to my boyfriend for teaching me the ropes!

I have only been fishing on the beach since May. I have had a very good teacher. I have fished fresh water all my life.. but Saltwater is a whole new ballgame! It was a great night!!! |

Thanks Girldawg... It was really awesome.. And yeah, he beat me to the posting.. might have to tie up his fingers next time..hehe.. I hope there is a next time!!! :) |
