First of all I do not have anything to do with Smith Optics. This is just a 'pat on the back' for their customer service.
I have owned a pair of Smith's for aprx. 4+ years now and recently broke the ear piece. I contacted Smith about warranty and they said send them back and they would look at them. They did tell me at this time that mine had been discontinued and to pick out a pair that I would like as a replacement. She said there could be an upcharge of $45-75. I sent them back Next Day Air...and within 2 business days I was notified that they had sent my NEW glasses out via UPS and should be receiving them within 4 days. There was no charge...and I received the new glasses on the 4th day!
It is nice to see a company stand behind their product!

I have the glass lens models did not notice the weight but then I had worn glasses for years now I'm glasses free. Extremely well made product.

Great lenses, but God awful heavy to wear all day. Customer Service has been good in the past.

I have a pair of Smiths and love them. Fortunately I have not had to use their customer service but that is good to hear.

My experience wasn't quite as good, but still a good company. I shattered the lenses in my pair that I had for about 5 years. The model was discontinued and the breakage was completely my fault. They did work with me and I got a ~$200 pair of glasses for $70.
