I closed a hatch lid on a rod this morning and crushed the tip guide. Anyone have a recommendation for rod repairs? I'm in the Ballentine/Irmo area so anything within a reasonable distance.

No fish and a busted rod. That's my report for the day. At least it didn't rain.

I have taken a couple of Shakespeare rods to Richard Hall at Lake World and he sends them to someone in W. Columbia for repairs. The guy did a great job and even matched the color wrapping on the rod. If it is just the tip that needs replacing Richard can probably do it right there.

I'm pretty sure sportsman's supply warehouse does rod repairs. I took a rod in with a broken top eye to match the size and they fixed it in the back cheaper than buying the eye repair kit.
