Is there anything new going on I need to know about? Besides staying away from the Cut! The son and daughter-in-law are taking us to the Old Crow Medicine Show band on Thursday night at the C of C Cistern. Probably some fishing off the jettys! Bike riding on Folly! Breakfast at the Lost Dog! Barbeque and Beer at Smoky Oak! Y'all don't know how lucky you are! Three more years 'til retirement!

Hey folly grey man.....go n restaurant.com...smoky oaks has certificates n there really cheap. On the home page it will tell you the "word of the day" for additional discount on whatever you purchase....I got 4 ...10.00 off of 2000 purchase and. A. 25.00 off of 50.00 purchase for a total of 14.60 for all five certificates. They do not add the tip in..ever...I checked...and they don't have any limits as far as when you can use it.. We used a ten dollar one today...had two salads..a BBQ platter and a brisket sub with onion rings..and a tea...total cost after certificate was 10.60..... If you are down Friday they have a 12 oz prime rib with two sides and salad lunch for ten dollars...and a rib special on Saturday....I thnk Friday night is steak night too. You order certificates online and print them right off your computer....they are ready to print as soon as you pay for them...I use PayPal.....but you can use a credit card....if you buy some and don't like e restaurant....or for some reason they go out of buisness......they will let you exchange them for a credit towards another one...and there is no expiration date..ever......we have been using them for three years now and have saved a lot.

Me too DFreedom. I'm always working this weekend. I surely look forward to Penny's photos and captions. It's always a good training aid of what not to do.

Going to the Cut and watching the action is a Memorial Day Tradition. Take numbers and score the really good ones. Penny and the uaual suspects are there. I have to work so I will live it vicariously.
