When thawing your ballyhoo, be sure to do it slowly, using only salt-water and be sure to put them in the bucket bills down. If you drop them tails first you will be taking away from their swimming action by breaking their tails to pieces. Remember after breaking bills off and breaking the backs be sure to rinse them again by dipping them in saltwater to prevent staining from the blood and other foul juices created in the process. Lightly salt them laying belly-up on a bait tray with your choice of Bionic Brine or other bait salts or simply fine kosher salt and a little baking soda. Too much salt and you will cook them and lose some of thier flexibility. Be sure to pull the plug the cooler so when you get to the boat in the morning they are not laying in fresh water fom the melted ice. Leave a few with longer bills so you may run them as a split-bill swimmer if you need to.

How to keep someone from barging in on you at the shower at the marina unninvited. LOL
