I agree he is not the greatest football coach, but he certainly knows how to keep his staff happy. I don't know the answer, but I wonder how many other HC's would do the same?

Actually, english professor, the OP asked "how many other HC's would do the same?" Would can be used as present, past or future tense. You chose to focus on the past, i merely pointed out the incongruity with when posters on here are "allowed" to bring up the past and when they are not. I don't really see what is so hard to understand in my post, unless of course someone just chooses to refuse to have an open mind.

Speaking of coaches, where was old Stevie today? Oh yeah, on his way to a meeting with NCAA officials to discuss gross violations of policy. Already cost them 6 scholarships.
Actually I don't really care that much. I graduated from Clemson and am enjoying some exciting football lately. Dabo has been pretty good for the program. Spurrier probably got blindsided and had nothing to do with the cheap hotel rates. But sometimes it's just fun to stir things up and watch the zealots come out.

1st, You know I rarely spew made up stuff. 2nd, if I have time I will look for an article indicating that Dabo is not the only one.

FISH8, are we to just beleive almost all other HC's do this because you said they do and assume you know that becasue you "follow all" CFB? Where are the links, with the articles, saying that other HC's do this on a regular basis. The poster had a fact to back up what he said. Where is your facts to back your statement up? Without them, you statement is just hearsay!!!
Also, this is just another attempt to take away from a Clemson poster that said nothing about USC. You say he was trying to elevate Dabo in his post. Re-read it! The first thing he said was "I agree he is NOT teh greatest coach". All he said was, "he knows how to keep his staff happy" and "I wonder how many other HC's would do the same?" Why would you have a problem with a Clemson supporter saying and asking this? Are you just trolling? |

FB, What I meant by that is if you had paid attention to this subject outside of CU you would know that other coaches do this. If you paid attention to this state, you would know that Spurrier has done the same. If you are looking for a number of coaches out of the 120 BCS schools, well I'm not going to look that up. I remember reading about one of the Alabama teams coach doing the same thing last year. I think it was Auburn.
I'm sorry if you took offense to what I said, but in this respect Dabo is not that "special"

yes, Dabo IS different...he is different in that he is Clemson's head football coach and he has had the good fortune of reaching a few milestones resulting in incentives he has chosen to share with his staff...I honestly don't care if every other head coach in CFB does it...the difference is that he is OUR football coach and he has chosen to do it...and to me, as a Clemson fan, that makes all the difference in the world...
