So I have a cheaper spinning reel and everything works fine except the drag knob. When you turn the drag knob it doesn't make a clicking noise. When lines coming off the reel the Clicking is good as new. Any suggestions?all help would be appreciated!

If your reel is like the ones I've taken apart, that clicker serves no purpose other than for your ears. If the drag works, don't worry about it. Ones I've seen are just a little piece of flat sping metal that act like a card in bicycle spokes. The drag comes from tightinging the screw to compress the washers.

If you want it to work like new, though, Haddrells can fix it for you.

I've got an older Diawa that the knob doesn't make any noise when you turn it - but the clicker is underneath the spool and it works...maybe yours is similar?
