Friend of mine said he caught this off a pier in Folly. What is it?

it is in the hake family, and is an unregulated species. We USE TO catch them when we would BOTTOM FISH in the winter.

Is it in the catfish family? And is there a regulation on them?
Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn.
