I don't like Basketball but putting that aside, why? Football is moving up. Basketball is terrible. Maybe he wants to be the shiny turd in the punch bowl

He probably has a better chance of making $$$ playing basketball after college than in football. He is a great athlete but not sure if he could make it on an NFL roster for long.
With basketball he can go play for 10 to 15 year in Europe and still make good money.
Obviously I don't know if that's driving his decision but it could be part of it.

I don't fault him for wanting to play BB. I just find it odd that with such a terrible BB season, that he would make this decision.
I hope he does well. He is very talented.

According to the net, he was recruited by Spur Jr. Maybe they wanred him but he wanted bball. Either way, he said he wanted to concentrate on hoops to be the best he could. I'm pulling for him. |

That maybe true, but his commitment is for 1 year at a time.

Maybe he has integrity and wants to honor his commitment to the man who wanted him in the first place. I give the kid two thumbs up. |
