I am wondering if flyfishing around here is limited to skinny water, or if there are any techniques for deeper water. Just don't have a boat to get in less than 3 feet or so. Any help would be great. Thanks.

So would you fish the same places as you would while soaking bait? |

I've got some 300-450gr shooting heads that are the bomb for some deep rips in the harbor for blues/trout/ladies. They are nice for a little change up from the ole floater. They can really bring a rod to life and give you some education about how rods perform.

plenty of trout to be caught in the deeper water (4-12') find moving water and a bit of structure. swing a clouser minnnow down and its ez if they are there...if not move to another spot.
what kinda boat are you in? offshore, like Tyoneon said, has plenty of action as well.

"Flats fishing" is the big trend. 
Sinking line can get you some spade fish, spanish, blue fish, albies, bonito, reef donkeys and jacks, to name a few. |
