All,

I have some more questions. My rods are spooled with Powerpro braid and fluoro leaders. I know some of you use mono leaders, so my question is this: why use one vs. the other? Is one clearly better when weighing all the pros and cons of each, or is it just a matter of opinion? I enjoy these discussions as much as the knowledge I gain, so ALL feedback is welcomed and appreciated.

Fluorocarbon really gives you an advantage is crystal clear water or when the fish are being spooked. It sinks faster in the water than mono, and like jws said it doesn't stretch near what mono does, and its more abrasion resistant. I use both mono leaders and fluoro depending on the situation

All this Flouro talk, makes me think I should buy some but Mono seems to work just fine right now ....

Bragging may not bring happiness,
but no man having caught a large fish,
goes home through the alley.

I use mono for top shot because of the stretch on my power pro trolling set ups. I use all flouro for my leaders in shore.

I think the fluoro may be a little more abrasion resistant and have a little less stretch than mono.
