Posted - 04/21/2012 : 12:25:25 PM Stopped by the dam on the way home Fri eve about 7 and the fish were schooling. Mostly out of casting distance, of course, but they got close a couple of times and I picked up a 23" fish. A young kid also fishing topwater got a keeper as well about 15' off the rocks.
Fished from the boat for a few hours Sat am and the fish were hungry. No big fish, but plenty of action. We caught fish on fl's, pb's, topwater and even got a couple jigging 2oz hopkins spoons. Caught a bunch of small fish, 4 keepers and a real nice black bass. Fished till almost 10 am, but we caught most of them before 8:30 fishing in the lower part of the lake.
Hope this cold front coming through this weekend don't mess things up.
