MSC held its April tournament from Spinners Resort and Marina on April 21st. 68 anglers fishing 26 teams participated in the event. 70 Striped Bass were brought to the scales. Finishing in first place was Team Catchall Capt. Lee Thomas, Kreg Frady both from Leesville SC and Carl Thompson from Santee SC with their 4 fish creel of 31 lbs 13 ozs. Team Catchall also captured the Nichols Store of Rock Hill "Big Fish" award with their fish weighing 10 lbs 1 oz. Second Place was Team Landlocked Capt. Richy Brensinger and Joey Smoak from Lexington SC and Wayne Bell from Prosperity SC with their 4 fish creel of 28 lbs 9 ozs. Third place went to our 2012 Points leader Team Laid Back Capt. David Richardson son Tristan from Aiken SC and John and Phillip Ramsey from New Ellington SC with their 4 fish creel of 28 lbs 1 oz. The events West Marine "Smallest Creel" award went to Team Hot Rods Capt. Jim Gibbs from West Columbia SC and Nelson Meek from Chapin SC with their single fish weighing 4 lbs 11 ozs. MSC is a family friendly fishing club and awards our top finishing Youth and Lady anglers in each event. Debbie Alewine from Rock Hill SC was awarded the top finishing Lady trophy with her 7th place finishing spot fishing Team Jon Boy. Tristan Richardson from Aiken SC was awarded the Youth trophy with his third place finish aboard Team Laid Back.

Yeah, Aaron and I were having a good time going back and forth at each other on Saturday...he is used to winning...lol.

I think he will probably become more of a permanent partner in the tourneys over the next couple of years. He just needs to put in the fishing time and help a brother out!

All the Gamecock baseball fans in the club would have loved the opportunity to meet your fishing partner Sully. Hope you can get Mr. Aaron Rawl to join us again soon... I think he will find competing with MSC very similar to the SEC...lol

Just to note....Team Knotty Thoughts participated in the tourney also but just didnt come to the weigh-in.

Congrats to the winners!

We struggled to catch keepers but managed 4 but had a big one snap our line that might wouldve made a difference. Was tough to keep the bait munchers off the line Saturday morning.
