Hey fellas need some help. I own a i/0 v6 mercruiser. It has a fairly new shift cable and control box. What would cause the control arm to get stuck? It works fine in neutral... just can't move it fwd or reverse when in gear. If i force it, she stalls. Any leads on this?

In my experience I would take off the prop and see if there is a bunch of fishing line in there jamming it. I had this happen to me 2 years ago and when I took off the prop OMG i couldnt believe how much line was on there. After that I would start chasing lower unit issues.
