4 dozen small clams

1 cup dry white wine
-
1 large onion chopped
-
1 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
-
1-1/2 tablespoon chopped parsley
-
1 tablespoon butter or margarine

1 fresh ground garlic clove
-
Freshly ground black pepper

Procedure:
|
Scrub the clams well and place them in a large pot with the remainder of the ingredients. Place over medium heat and steam until the clams open. Serve the clams in bowls in the cooking sauce.
