Boiled Peanuts; A 4th of July Staple

Ingredients:

4-pounds of green peanuts
-
2 cups of salt
-
cup of vinegar
|
|
Procedure:
|
Fill a large pot with about 3-gallons of water. Add all ingredients to large pot. Bring to rapid boil and maintain for 1.5 hrs with pot covered. Turn off heat and allow peanuts to soak in broth for 45-minutes. Drain peanuts and place in refrigerator overnight. Nuts will be ready for consumption in the am!
