Ingredients:

5 strips of bacon, chopped

½ cup chopped onion
-
2 teaspoons of minced garlic

1 cup uncooked rice
-
2 cups water
-
1 cup tomato sauce
-
Salt
-
Tabasco sauce

1 pound shrimp peeled and deveined

Procedure:
|
In a skillet cook 5 strips of bacon until crisp. Remove the bacon from the skillet and add the onion, garlic, and rice to the bacon drippings. Stir contents until golden brown.
Next, stir in the water, tomato sauce, salt, and hot sauce to taste. Bring the ingredients to a boil. Stir in the shrimp and add the bacon. Reduce the heat to low and cover. Simmer until the rice is tender about 30 minutes.
