Went to lake greenwood around 3pm saturday and dropped boat off in water.moved about 50 yards from boat ramp and saw drop off and a few fish so i slowed down and thought might be a good spot.next minute fishfinder started beeping like crazy fish all over the screen in 3-10ft depth. So me and my girl stopped and dropped down minnows.Hmmmm,no hits.so we waited a few minutes and then bites started coming.missed first few fished then landed a white perch.find out to com ewe was in a school of them but they wasnt biting steady.
So we moved around a little and noticed the dark clouds. So i gave her warning that the storm was coming from the south of us so we needed to watch it.Next 10 minutes it was on us.So we drove up to the bridge and sat with the other stranded boats. After the storm past, everybody shot back off to there spots.About that time it was getting dark.went to my favorite Waterloo bridge and we set up,noooo bites so we traveled thru the night to the next bridge and set up.Cut on my new LED lights and made the water glow.Sat and waited for the fish. They finally came about 2hrs later after seeing the pontoon with 3000 lights on it getting fish after fish. What a slow night.Caught a few crappie and left. What is up with these crappies and perches. It must be really to hot for them too.
