Hello everyone. My question is would it be safe for me to take a 12' jon boat out in hog inlet. I'm talking about the backwaters. I have no intentions of going near the opening to the ocean in that boat. I have bigger boats, but I read about all of these kayak guys and its got me thinking. I could throw my little jon and 4hp in the back of the truck and ride down for a day. It wouldn't hardly cost me anything. What do yall think. Is it safe enough. Are there any other jon boats out there?
Yes sir. I think people call it cherry grove marsh or something like that. That's good to hear. I've about talked myself into coming down there friday.
No way, there are never jon boats at Cherry Grove. LOL I think you would be fine, and you may even find a red or 2 up in the skinny waters. Its getting close to time for em to start schoolin up a little around there. Good luck, and let us know how you do. Oh yeah, watch out for the spot fishermen. They will be in full force this weekend with this cool front coming in.
