Fished from the swing bridge to the NC Line and around the jetties. Falling tide and first part of the rising. Fished jig, carolina rig, float rig, cut mullet, frozen shrimp, DOA, etc. I fished everyway I know how and we still did not catch a fish other than a couple of toads at the jetties.
I have one place that we have caught some reds during the spring, but other than that, I have failed to catch fish in LR. I ran into a guide at the landing the other day that made the comment that if you could catch fish in LR that you could catch fish anywhere. I am starting to believe it.
Great day on the water, timed it perfect. It rained on us on the way home. |
