went to work and decided to hit the lake saturday after work.good idea because i was told at the bait shop that the lake was smoking right now.so we got out there to the lake and put in and motored down to the favorite secret spot ,lmao, and noticed ba few birds flying around.so automatically you already know what im thinking.so went got a little closer to the spot and noticed a treelimb sticking out the water.never seen it before.soooo i started getting curioius and told my friend we about to check that tree out.also,just to throw it in the water is down about 5-8 ft.
so we got closer and i saw the water move in swirls a little bit but i thought to myself im seeing things and in a matter of seconds the water in front of us just exploded and all i saw was heads,tails and baitfish scattering.we was in a school of fish.when i say the water was splashing all around us i mean it was splashing.so we got minnows and started tossing them out on floats and drop rigs.ohhh my gosh everything started going down,floats rigs,rod tips under water and it was on.it was a school of bass,crappie and perch.when i say we caught fish we caught fish.i caught big size bass i didnt even know existed in greenwood.had my biggest bass break of at the boat nd pissed me off.i did catch the biggest bass ive ever caught since i was a kid.matter of fact i caught the most fish ive ever have caught also.
we caught so many bass that we were throwing them back.that was the best fishing day ive ever had.so im letting everyone know that lake greenwood is on fire right now.the guy at the bait shop said he had customers come back to get more bait cause they have used the 5 dozen minnows they had purchased earlier that day.so that should tell you something...will post pics asap.... |
