| has any one caught any shad in the tail race canal. do you think the last week of feb. would be a good time to try the shad. |

| There should be some to catch in Feb., supposedly the peak is not until march/april according to sc sportsman. |

| my experience has been that the herring show up several weeks later than the shad start |

| thanks. i am on vacation feb 26 through march the 2ns. thought i would try them feb 27 and 28. come down and fish with us, we will be in a 15ft green high tide with ga. reg. and 25 mercury. we are going to get as close to the posted sign on the right hand side. I hope we got room to fish |

it's been hit and miss.
reports some days are very good, other days just fair.
they'll be plenty there when you go end of month.
call dnr- they have been doing daily creel surveys

Hey Tom.... im going the 29th.... my brother-in-law cought some strippers at the dam last week when fishing for shad it was crazy.Im in a 17 foot G3 center consul aluminum jon boat....Tight lines everyone...

| freckle head, we caught about a hundred monday after noon only one roe shad, tussday we caught about a hundred on one roe kept some for bait, got tired of catching them a just stoped fishin. if they are runing strong water tie up just below the water intake to the old coal burning plant you wil see my limb. you need to stay tied up and move the back anchor in an out when the currant changes flow. I fish about once a year for shad, my next thing is cobia, maybe we can get sto gather and try the cobia this year, talk t- you later tom. be carefull game warden checking boats. make sure you have everythingand only ten shab per persoh |
