I wanted to invite everyone to check out our new tournament, The South Carolina Wahoo Series.
Captains meeting 2/10/2012 at Redfish Restaurant HHI off Palmetto Bay road.
The series will start on 2/11/2012 and run through 4/18/2012.
It is a captains choice event were you declare 2 fish days within the tournament dates.
Boats can weigh one fish each day and the winner will be determined by the heaviest 2 fish aggregate.
There is also a bonus day opportunity.
It is a fisherman friendly format, the wahoos and blackfin are bitting and if you plan on fishing the stream this season why not take a chance on winning some cash as well.
For information, format and rules please email me at wahooshootout@aol.com
Thank You Captain Marc

Awesome turn out at the captains meeting last night at Redfish.
Great job Marc and Robbie on putting this event together!
As of last night I think there is $6,000 to be won for two wahoo aggregate plus additional for single largest wahoo and tuna.
There's still one more week to get in on the series. If you are going to be going to the gulf stream at least twice between now and April 18th you might as well take a shot at bring home some cash! |

First round of boats fished the last 2 days.
Lott 700 fished south and had 6 wahoo and several blackfins. 75 degree water on the ledge and is cleaning up nicely after the long blow is finaly over. They are leading the series with a 43lb fish. They had one bigger but the shark got a peice.
Several boats are fishing this weekend should be interesting!

The bite slowed down a little to the south, the currents seem to be ripping on through. But it did not stop Team Nomad and thier new Freeman boat from taking the lead weighing a 55.6 this morning.
Congadulations guys!

There have been several high fourties weighed this week, and has set the stage for a dramatic finish at the 8th Annual Hilton Head Harbor Wahoo Shootout. The Shootout is a bonus day for the Series and out of 22 boats 15 still have a chance to win. And if you luck into a good fish you could win both tournaments and possibley $18,500 Cash! Where else can you fish against 34 boats and win $18,500 Cash?
Thanks for every ones support and stay tuned for the finally this weekend! |
