I am planning my summer boating trip to the lowcountry right now.
We always enjoy baeching the boat on Otter Island for mid-day lunch
and a nice break from the fishing.

Are there any other beaches I am overlooking that are boat only access
that we would enjoy?

Thanks!

Both sides of Otter are good -
Also Deveaux Bank @ the end of North Edisto is nice & the end of Botany Bay.

Not that I can think of- unless you are going to just boat the picnic and watch the monkeys @ Morgan Island. Not that familiar with beaches south. Sorry

otter island is great. others are too but be careful. quick story: fall of 2010 had a group of friends w/ some teens on board. we pulled up to Ashe Island from Rock Creek and some got off to check it out. 10 mins later they came running back to the boat after almost stepping on 6' rattlesnake. I believe there are public oyster beds on Ashe but never have tried to get any. you can see it well on Google maps

No joke, biggest rattler I've ever seen. Stay on the beach or boat.

Can't catch anything on a dry hook...

Correct Marshman - and do not disturb the bird nest when they are in season - otherwise you are OK. We always set-up on the North Edisto side of the Bank.
