IT'S GONE............

I'm tired of being told that I have to "spread the wealth" to people who don't have my work ethic. I'm tired of being told the government will take the money I earned, by force if necessary, and give it to people too lazy to earn it. I think I'm going fishing...!!

Hey Doc we saw it Friday and Saturday. Inside the south Jetty well inside the inlet. It may be fully submerged during the higher tides. Not much was sticking up when we saw it mid-way thru the tide cycle.

It ain't no mystery...this beer's history!

On the weekend I was looking at it from the jetty, at low tide you could have walked to it in shorts. Couple nice parts on it too!

Stolen Sailboat Items

(Murrells Inlet)
Date: 2012-03-01, 4:57PM EST
Reply to: ssg9t-2879544380@sale.craigslist.org

My Columbia 32' sailboat was sunk at the MI jetties this past Nov.
I had checked on the sailboat weekly while I purchased and collected the equipment and gear to salvage her.

All federal and state agencies are aware of my boat and my intent to salvage and know that it was not abandoned.

The week before last, the Aluminum Mast was CUT OFF and STOLEN which has now reduced its usability and salvage value greatly.
I now have a deposition attesting to the identity of the THIEVES and their BOAT. I am now ready to file a police report.

The roller furl hardware and sail were STOLEN last month along with other items.
Pursuing info of the THIEVES of these items, now.

Please respond with any info. Thanks, Dave

He'll have a hard time prosecuting whoever it was, if they have an attorney. He is, however, entitled to his share from what was taken (salved). This isn't the way for someone to be a salvor, even though the owner did not do some things he should have...like posting a public notice among other things.

Had the vessel been insured, by a MARINE INSURANCE underwriter, the salvage AND agreed value of the vessel would have been paid by his policy.

Everyone should take note that your boat's insurance policy that is tied in to your homeowners and/or auto policies are wasting policies. In other words, the cost of salving your boat is deducted from the agreed value of the policy & could leave you with nothing. I see it 2 or 3 times a year.

FYI - Just for clarity, I don't think it is allaboutfishin's sailboat. I believe he copy/pasted that from a craigslist ad he found.
