I am president of the Georgetown Marine Industries Association, and am considering doing this. It would be put on by local marine industry partners. I am just curious if enough people would participate...? We could invite the regulatory agencies to use out for data collection...maybe.
Just trying to feel out the crowd to see if yall think it would be worthwhile.
Also, Tailwalker Marine is sponsoring a bus for a fishing rally in DC. Contact them if you want a seat.

Good suggestion. It would be good for me also, since we usually slow down after the 4th.
Anyone else? You could catch a quick limit and then fish for something else the rest of the day. If there aren't enough people interested, we won't do it. I just thought it would be a good way to generate some more attention to the matter.

Thanks for the bump, Tom.
Everything seems to be snowballing at this point. June 16th is the date. RFA membership to be included in the entry fee (current members will be renewed). Once I run some numbers, I will post the entry fee (not going to be much).
Kids participate free & we'll have some trophies for them.
Start spreading the word!

I would like to do it as well. Only thing is that the TW tournament has been moved to July 27&28 so I will be getting ready for that the weekends before.

Flip, that's more than a month after the BSB tourney. You gonna pre-fish all 5 weekends between it and TW?
I am hoping my boat will be sold by then, and I'll need to fish on someone else's...
