If anyone happens to see a new Bowtech Assassin around any of our pawn shops are listed on craigs list and such, please let me know. I got hit bad early wednesday morning somewhere around 4am. They made off with my bowtech, costas, gps, trail cameras, and more. The bow means more to me than the rest of it 10x over, and I will definately be glad to compensate anyone that may locate it. Timing could not have been worse, absolutely no way I can swing replacing it anytime soon...hurts. There are a lot of fine details with this bow that will link it directly to me, so if you see one around town please let me know. Thanks...its sad when I have to start using my trail cameras to monitor activity around my house

Yea I know Fish, especially when people like you and I bust our rears to have the little bit that we do have, only to have it ripped off. Owned the bow only 1 month after I had saved nickels and dimes for 6 months just to get the bow I wanted. Looks like I am back to hunting with my Martin for at least one more season(thank the lord I had not sold it yet), no way I can do another new bow seeing as I am getting married in Dec and moving in less than 2 months. This is going to sting for a while......I bet they do not want ot come back in my driveway again, thats for sure. Eyes in the sky!!!

Anymore its like an everyday thing, SCARCHER220. I hear it several times a week here in the store about anglers having their equipment ripped off...and its only escalating in how frequently it happens. I truly appreciate those keeping an eye out for me...I know the likelihood of getting my hands back on any of my stuff is slim, but you can bet I will try in every way. Would have liked to have used one of the carbon express shafts in the quiver with a T3 on the thief! Thanks for the words and help guys

I cannot stand a theif and hold them barely above the level of a child molester/ rapist or murderer. It really sucks that you were hit and I hate it for you. However, knowing and reading all the stories and threads about theft, the news reports and warnings, why in the world did you leave any items of worth like that in your vehicle. Stuff like you had stolen is easy money for any theif and takes no time to liberate. Glad you got a back-up and now know nothing should be left in your car overnight even if its parked by your bedroom window.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

While I totally learned a lesson Salty, I bet there has been plenty of times you have loaded your truck the evening before something you were headed off to do so you would be ready first thing early in the morning. I now know better. Neighbors are telling me they have lived there 30 yrs and rarely ever even lock their house...just shows it can happen anywhere anytime. Talked with a guy who had the motor stolen off his flats boat right beside his house while he slept just inside one night in mt p...can't exactly bring that inside. Hind sight is always 20/20

Sure I leave stuff in my truck and car all the time but never once have I left a gun or expensive fishing set up in my vehicle. They go inside in the safe or secure location.

You should pay serious attention to Craigslist, lots of things like that get put on there. Usually you can tell if the seller knows anything about what they have in the wording. Good luck.

Thanks Salty, I am definately keeping an eye on CL and such every day when I get home. I am well aware it was a dumb move, I just put up this thread b/c I know there are a lot of good people on here that do not mind keeping and extra set of eyes open...I can't fix the dumb move at this point. the PD was telling me that initially they were most likely breaking in for change and the gps...once they pulled the camo clothes off the top of the back seat(had the bow covered up) they realized they had something better at that point. Be careful, the PD also told me they do not need to physically see the gps to make them want to break in. He said they will look for nothing but the little suction cup marks on your glass to indicate you have a gps inside

I take my gps inside every day, but I leave the little suction cup holder on the windshield. I have had coins turn up missing out of my vehicle....I figure it's mostly neighborhood kids looking for a thrill and getting some coin.

I still think they should be taken shark fishing.

Scott I'll keep a look out and if you need to borrow a bow in the mean time just let me know, I think we are both about the same draw length. That really sucks though

(**() I hate a thief, I doubt many people are selling used Assasins at this point so you may luck up on finding it. I caught 3 high schoolers about 8 years ago unloading my boat one morning in Mt. P. in front of my house, ran one down in my underwear and the other 2 came back looking for him and they all went to jail. They will make a mistake and get caught eventually, most thieves do.

Appreciate it guys, the bow has not turned up yet anywhere...but like mentioned not very many assassins around town used. And thanks for the offer Jeremy, thankfully I still have my old bow, I just robbed all the accesories off of it to put on the new one. At least deer season is a long ways away so still plenty of time to possibly find it or start saving for another...dang it Jeremy you getting too much of my money on all this archery stuff

Scott,

I hate a thief also! A couple of years ago I had my garage broken into.
They took a bunch of really nice stuff.

The summerville cop told me If I caught him in the garage again to shoot them.

He said they have a saying; "kill the sue" In other words dead people can't sue you.

Sorry about your bow.

Peace
