Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Class envy has nothing to do with it. He disagreed with a young woman's stance on contraceptive availability...nothing wrong with that, but then he called her a "slut" for needing what he considered too much birth control, and a "prostitute" for wanting someone else to pay for it.
In case you didn't know it, women don't like being called sluts. How many unmarried women do you figure use a daily contraceptive like the pill? How many married women used a daily contraceptive before they were married? In calling one woman a slut for using daily contraceptives, he called them all sluts. Good move Rush.
Them he went on to say that if she gets her contraceptives for free, that she needed to post video's of herself having sex on the internet as payment. How many votes do you think that creepy statement sent Obama's way?
It's not class envy run amuck. It's total disrespect to a particular woman and the fear of it running amuck after women in general that'll take votes away from the Republican Candidate vs Obama because of Limbaugh's big fat mouth. |

ive read over many of the topics in this forum and i really didn't want to get drawn into any of these topics sense reason seems to be excluded but........
GOP canidates really need to get off this train before they get left. birth control is something that god knows how many people rely on in america and to suggest otherwise and insult people for it is just not a smart decision
it just seems like a fight that really doesn't need to be fought and they are going to suffer as a result

He's never been known for sugar-coating much of anything, although he could have been a little more diplomatic and still made his case. With that said, I didn't hear much of anything that I haven't heard in more than one church, albeit it in somewhat different terms. What he took exception to was an assertion that somehow she has a 'right' to contraception and it should be free. I take exception to her characterization of 'right', too, and great exception to the fact I will subsidize her sexual behavior through my insurance premiums.

Oh yeah, Ted never deserved to have anything bad said about him...
There is a drink called the Chappaquiddick. It's Scotch and muddy water.
I laughed my butt off when Rush said that girl (Not lady mind you) was a slut. Rush say outrageous stuff because what is being said by that girl is absolutely outrageous.

Yall seem to forget Rush is a talk show host, not a political pundit. I personal can't stand to listen to him. But it is a talk show...not the mouth of conservatives.
I do find it interesting that yall on here that lam-blast him, know more about him than I do.....So I wonder who is actually listening to him................

That being said, her assertion that she spends $3,000 per year on contraception does beg the question, "when does she attend law school"? I understand some women that take oral contraceptives for hormonal problems or other "health" related issues but subsidizing someone simply getting laid is not something I am interested in doing. If you could assure me that all the liberals that want free birth control would never procreate, I may be more interested in picking up the tab. Otherwise, buy your own condoms. |
