I never buy tying material blind... I gotta touch it before i'm gonna spend money. There are just too many variable involved.
that being said if you get it cheap enough you can just throw the crap away that you don't want and still probably come out good..

yeah, I got ya Mike iFly that was just one of many lots I picked up 3 packs of EP Fibers today for $11.50, pretty good deal, I wanted the yellow for a baitfish pattern

Yeah Mike I see what you're saying about not touching it but truthfully, I got a saddle REALLY CHEAP it wasn't the highest of quality, but it really has turned out well for the saltwater flies, being the large and inconsistent quality that it is

Got ya. Hard to go wrong with a 10 to 15 dollar bid an just about anything. 
But... (and this is a lot just about me) when I buy material, I calculate in my head that I will use 80 percent of the material or I won't buy it. I've set a goal of maintaining just 2 plastic shoe boxes of materials. I know that some of the guys have 2 foot lockers full of the stuff. Maybe that is where these eBay deals are coming from?  |

yeah, I probably have $2000-$3000 worth of stuff here and there haha, Probably prepared for most anything I will take a picture and post it tomorrow, give the fly tyers a good laugh ....
