I own a newer sixteen footer with a 90 yamaha. Boat is tough as nails, takes chop pretty well, but is wet in any sort of wind. The 90 is plenty of motor for sure although it's a two stroke. When I bought mine they strongly steered me away from a four stroke 90 and said that if I went that route I should stick to a 70 because of the weight. A great no frills river boat that I've had out to the Jetties many times and even the reefs a few times when it's nice. If you're local, I'd be more than happy to take you on a test ride as I know it's hard because dealers don't keep many if any in stock. If you are looking at new, then you should be aware that another company is now making them under a different name with the same molds. High Tide is no longer in business.
