On scene, police learned the business owner shot a man who attempted to rob him. Police said the store owner was walking to his vehicle when he saw a white Lexus parked across the street and it started to drive in reverse when he left the store after closing. The victim had pulled out a pistol and when he unlocked his car with a keyless entry, Deas jumped from behind the corner of the building with a pistol in his hand. The store owner shot at Deas until his pistol was empty, police said. Then he removed a second pistol from his belt and shot at Deas until he was on the ground and not moving, the report said.
Of Course the guy is an upstanding citizen, almost makes me tear up....:
Deas' sister, Shaeena Deas, said early Wednesday that their family was shocked by her brother's death."He really was changing his life. He loved his family. His kids were his life," Shaeena Deas said her voice full of emotion. "He would sit with his kids and help them do their lessons. He was going to church and trying to do what was right."
But what about this Shaeena Deas? His Priors?

JUST WOW...................
I'm tired of being told that I have to "spread the wealth" to people who don't have my work ethic. I'm tired of being told the government will take the money I earned, by force if necessary, and give it to people too lazy to earn it. I think I'm going fishing...!!

This happened not far from here, I know the store owner his wife and family. This same robber previuosly hit the store close to this one holding the clerk at gun point four separate times in the past few weeks.
The thief's girlfriend, was driving the getaway car. She is in jail and I believe charged with some degree of Murder.
Hopefully this will send a signal to those who wish to steal and threaten our way of live.

In SC we have the Castle Doctrine if interested I am sure I can find the law, it's where you can shoot someone in your home and no charges will be brought upon you, that's in short of course. They are attempted to extend this law to a business you own .... just for FYI ...

Also for people interested Trader World on Cross County in North Charleston has Concealed Carry Classes every Sat for $50 ...

PROTECTION OF PERSONS AND PROPERTY ACT
The stated intent of the legislation is to codify the common law castle doctrine, which recognizes that a persons home is his castle, and to extend the doctrine to include an occupied vehicle and the persons place of business. This bill authorizes the lawful use of deadly force under certain circumstances against an intruder or attacker in a persons dwelling, residence, or occupied vehicle. The bill provides that there is no duty to retreat if (1) the person is in a place where he has a right to be, including the persons place of business, (2) the person is not engaged in an unlawful activity, and (3) the use of deadly force is necessary to prevent death, great bodily injury, or the commission of a violent crime. A person who lawfully uses deadly force is immune from criminal prosecution and civil action, unless the person against whom deadly force was used is a law enforcement officer acting in the performance of his official duties and he identifies himself in accordance with applicable law or the person using deadly force knows or reasonably should have known the person is a law enforcement officer.
