I have tried searching but was not able to get it to work. I'm looking to find out who in Charleston has the best prices on marine plywood. I'm looking for the prices of 1/4" (6mm), 3/8" (9mm) and 1/2" (12 mm).

If any of those places can supply BS1088 meranti or okume mahogany at a reasonable price, I'd be surprised. Pressure treated pine or fir is not marine plywood. Charleston used to have a couple of good sources for marine mahogany, but they closed in the boat building recession.

Shipping charges are cheap compared to the material and labor of building a boat. Get the absolute best. It's only $100 shipping charge from south Florida to Savannah, doesn't matter if it's 1 sheet or 20, and you will need close to 20 sheets for that boat. Shipping to Charleston would be about the same. If this is for the boat you were talking of building, don't cut corners here. A hundred bucks is only a rod holder or 2, versus the core of your boat

Check with Mark Bayne @ Sea Island Boat Works, you may be able to piggy back on one of his shipments http://www.seaislandboatworks.com/ On their site it says they stock okume Rap, check the past projects on his site, there are a couple on there that might grab your attention

They sell it at Charleston Marine Lumber yard. It is up at the old navy base right next to Detyen's ship yard.

I used to buy from there occasionally, but they went out of business a couple of years ago, unless they have re-opened since?
