Do any of you guys use this technique? I'd like to get some input on how best to do it. Iv'e looked at vids, etc. but how effective is it in our lowcountry fishing? Seems like ripping the line off the water would spook the fish..

it will. tis a good cast shad fushin when your backs against the wall though

Scotty is right. The only time I have used spey casts around here is when making blind repetitive casts with a sinking line and swinging flies across and down with current. Mostly when striper or shad fishing in rivers.
