The Travel channel on Comcast is doing a segment of Bizarre Foods America on Charleston as we speak 8-9PM. If you miss it, it will repeat at 3AM tomorrow morning. Set the recorder.

It has been on a few times. If you have Comcast you can watch it on demand.

Did they include a clip of him walking through white point gardens? We were down there a few months ago and saw a guy walking with a camera crew, and I said to my wife- that looks like the Bizarre foods dude.

I saw some of the episode, pretty good representation of Charleston. The hour before that Anthony Bourdain's show "No Reservations" was about South Carolina. Oyster roasts on an island near Folly Beach (Crosby's Seafood got a nice visual exposure here), BBQ just up state, clam bake in McClellanville and Frogmore stew in the Beaufort area, just to name a few. That was a good showing for SC. Both of the show hosts give some history of the area they are in and put on good shows but I prefer "No Reservations" over "Bizzare Foods".

Great episode except when the Lee Brothers get involved and take him cast netting for bait shrimp off the battery then go eat the Charleston staple, curried chicken bog...

Not sure how they became Charleston's culinary ambassadors

Curried chicken bog must me a south of broad thing . I have eaten alot of bogs but never with curry, may have to try it though. Have to agree with you on the Lee brothers, on the No Reservations episode they were drinking champagne at an oyster roast, huh??

Yeah and they told Anthony Bourdain on the same episode that a bushel of oysters can feed 12 people.
