Talk to Scott, go in and check out some of his pictures from last year, won't say where he went, if he wants you to know he will tell ya, all I know is that tailers in the surf happen, I plan on picking up a 10wt and trying it out myself this summer ... I think they mentioned sand flea looking flies, and small minnow patterns

Bragging may not bring happiness,
but no man having caught a large fish,
goes home through the alley.

The Bearded Clam... seriously that's the name of the fly.. Low Country Fly has them. Saw a lot of fish caught on them last year....

Tried it a few times here in Myrtle Beach to no avail. Tied up some homemade flies to resemble a sand flea but no luck. I was targeting pompanos but it was a little past their season anyway. I have heard of people catching Blues in the surf at the end of Pawleys island on red/white clousers.

I had great success with the sand flea. Sight fished to red and black drum. Big and powerful fish in the surf they are! Come by the Lowcountry Fly Shop and get some.....even caught some blind casting.
