Went fishing today and had taken out some shrimp before we left...figured a quick and easy dinner of some type would be in order after catching all those fish.....well the gnats were biting more than the fish but what a beautiful day on the water besides that!

So anyhow....donnie doesnt care much for marinara sauce or muchrooms....so my pasta was a marinara sauce made with fresh diced tomatoes , some fresh mushrooms, minced garlic, spinach and shrimp....his was a light parmesan alfredo sauce with brocoli and shrimp..threw together a salad and some bread...ad dinner was served

Glad I cleaned the boat before I ate!

Do you make your own Alfredo or jar bought?

Would love to try and make a homemade Alfredo sauce.

Alfredo sauce is the easiest thing in the world to make. Melt two tablespoons of butter in a frying pan add two tablespoons of flour + a pinch of salt and white pepper simmer lightly until you have a light colored roo (like maybe the color of a manilla folder). Then add one cup of milk and simmer until desired thickness. You can then add fresh basil or whatever favoirte herbs and or parmesean. Toss with pasta and cover with additional parmesean. I would put this simple recipe against any of that jarred crappp you get at the grocery store.
