loaded up with Capt. jimmy, john, auggie dog and craig @ 0430 for a nice ride to the Ghole after drooling over recent reports. arrived @ 06:30, sun not even up yet! started at the ledge and trolled out deep but it was a little slow to start.Trolled 8 lines for Hoos but they didn't grace our baits today.frist hit was at 08:00 a real nice bft on the wtfb cedarplug daisy chain. got another soon after then what should have been a daymaker was ripping off line on a 30w, full drag and before we could pull all lines, pulled hook! then landed a shark! not much bait or birds today and the radio chatter said it was a little slow everywere. started heading south and ran into a few schools of yellow fish. landed 5, beat a few of the lures with the gaff and lost a 35+phin at the motors when he jumped and threw the hook! water temp was steady all day at 70.9. didn't see any rips, breaks or changes to really hold bait or fish. still all and all a great EARLY start to the dragging season!

If it got any better I couldn't stand it.

Nice work for the first day out.

Any man that doesn't know how to catch a fish, shouldn't disgrace a fish, by catching it.
