Started last yaer.Sometimes when the boat takes a jar going out the alarms start going off and oil indicator for port motor blinking. Port motor powers back.Turn motor off and crank back up and fine until it takes a jar or may not do it the rest of the day.Who can help me?Oh yeh the motors are 2002 225 Yamaha 4 strokes.

Maybe stono could assist or provide insight, I think he had a a 150 around that year when we discussed his motor before he upgraded

Thanks Huricane.Maybe I will take it to Chris V.They are pretty close to me.Not really to worried but would like to know whats going on.

Sounds like a faulty oil level or pressure sensor possibly that kicks the motor to "safe" mode then is reset upon shutting down and restarting.

I would asume it needs to put on a computer to find out for sure.

Offhand without looking it up I can't remember the diff sensors on that motor, oil press, oil level, etc.. most the times one can disconnect one of the sensor wires and ground it out to test the sensor, but it sounds like yours is a intermittent problem, which a computer hookup will tell you wich sensor went off and other info as well.

Definitly sounds like a worthwile trip to see Chris V.
