My brother and I are taking out the kayaks for the first time this year to fish murrells inlet. We are putting in at the public boat landing right by Belin in the morning to catch the incoming tide. I am gonna be throwing some flies with the fly rod while my bother will be using normal rod and reel. So whats biting there lately and what are the biting? Just trying to figure out what to target to get something to bite. hoping to get into some redfish but who knows. Always fun to paddle around on a spring morning either way. Thanks in advance for any tips/info.

There may be some trout here and there but I have only heard, can't say from firsthand experience. Nowhere near the landing, as far as I know. It's been posted on the board elsewhere, some people are getting a few flounder on mud minnows. There is a lot of snot grass out there right now.

I'd be interested in hearing about your boat ramp experience.

Yea most of what I have seen on here is a few flounder here and there. We are going to fish a few creek mouths after the tide turns and see what happens. Figured if there will be anything biting it should be there.

Was there today and got Snot out.............

I'm tired of being told that I have to "spread the wealth" to people who don't have my work ethic. I'm tired of being told the government will take the money I earned, by force if necessary, and give it to people too lazy to earn it. I think I'm going fishing...!!

Sounds like some good fishing. We will be fishing the back creeks since we will be in kayaks. I hope they are biting back in there as well.

We went out last Saturday and fished with the following

MM, fiddler crabs and cut mullet

we fished the outgoing tide , we fished the pass, we fished just about everywhere and not one bite. I asked a few other fishermen and no bites for them either, nada.

Thanks for the info. My next job for work (contractor) was moved to begin on Monday, so i will be heading out tomorrow morning instead. Brother going with me is a no go, so just me. Maybe I get skunked, but paddling around the marsh on a nice morning is better than working anyday, fish or no fish. Just tied up some clousers and deceivers, hope they do the trick. Taking another rod with me to sit on the bottom in the rod holder while a fish creek mouths. Who knows, might get lucky.
