Well tommorow will be the start of crab season for my daddy....and I'm leaving the house at 0500 to go the the village to help him put out his new pots! He ,ade his own pots this year and they look great! I'm so excited I could bust a gut! lol.....Crabbing with my daddy...one of my biggest joys in life....there will be pics tommorow...hope y'all don't mind...just had to share....

Penny's pics make you realize how lucky some people are to be living in the low country.Most of Her pics are just beautiful and natural.Just like Miss Penny!!! Donnie is cute also.LOL had to put that in.OK Roo is the pick of the litter

| Penny, anyone that ever minded your photos has a screw loose. I look forward to all of them, but i especially like the ones with your dad. I am curious as to whether his "friend" will be hanging around again this year. I gotta get down there one day soon, need me some crabs as I am jonesing for some crab rice. |

Whew...just rolled in and boy and I am whooped! Pics taken....and yes my friend was there much to my delight!..and ave me a nice soaking. In gratitude...lol. Have to be at work at 730 for a 12hr shift..so off for a two hour nap..sorry...pics tommorow....

ok...heres some pics from today..
Ready to go! load number 1...some old...some new...
Daddy told me he had a surprise for me when I got in the boat
hmmmm...wonder what.....
hey!!!!! woooohoooo!!!!
Daddy at this point was telling "him" that we didnt have time to loiter at the dock...and that he needed to move so we could get to work...and that he needed to quit hanging around and harrasing humans...
So we take off and that dang dolphin wasnt about to give up without a fight!...man is he fast!
and then...
who do you think gets the final say from him in the matter before he gives up???
ME!!!! took me 30 minutes to dry out...and of course daddy laughed and laughed that I hadnt learned this trick yet!
so off we go....
all the while hoping that the calm waters and sky would get no worse..
btw...I got a new pair of gloves from my daddy....he said it was a raise....but I didnt wear them as I told him I wasnt a sissy..but did appreciate the thought.
The new motor is great and with the change in prop the boat flies!..and burns waaaay less gas!
daddy tossed the first few then turned it over to me...time to whip me in shape for the season!
slipped a little fishing in
this one came home for dinner...lets say he was the "guest of honor" at mom and daddys
we took two loads out..50 pots...another load to go tommorow...thank goodness the rain held off but it sure breezed up on us.
someone lost their shrimp basket...
literally!
saw the martin family....
oh yeah...and oyster castles as daddy called them...a new experimental oyster growing procedure by dnr...in other words....cinder blocks stacked on the hill for oysters to grow on...at the far end you can see the newest ones.seems to be working
Great day on the water with my daddy..felt so good to be "home"..to
see the creeks I know so well..smell the smells that only those raised on the water can appreciate...and to have another day of hanging out with my daddy hearing his laughter and stories of the past.. pots will get baited tommorow for jimmys..then they (the jimmys)will be used to bait for peelers...that sould be showing soon....now Im counting the days till I can go crabbing with my daddy again....
