I knew Frank and that sounds exactly as I remember him. He was hearing a case about two brothers that were caught running a still. They plead guilty, Judge Eppes sentenced them to community service and a small fine. They also had to provide the judge with the reproductive organ from a male raccoon, which the judge had made into a toothpick. He had it mounted in silver and wore it for pocketwatch fob. He had many laughs from handing it to a lady and asking her to guess what it was. He was one of a kind, if there ever was one. I wish we had some judges like him today, as he didn't tolerate wife or child abusers at all. |
