I have a slight problem. I get to see my daughter every 2 weeks on the weekend(she lives with her mother) and I am having money issues. My ex-wife loaned me $40 to get my daughter something for her b-day and I really had no idea what to get. I asked her, Bonnie, what would you like Daddy to get you? She said "All I want is for you to be happy, Daddy."
Well I had $25 of my own money to spend and my ex- wife's $40 finally meant I had enough money to buy Modern Warfare 2(been wanting this game like crazy). I asked my daughter if she really meant want she said and she told me she wanted me to buy the game. Now I feel kind of bad. I ended up playing it all weekend while she just sat in her room.(no way would I let her watch this game.) I feel like I really should have done something with that money. Maybe I could have bought her a pretty dress or take her some place fun.
Do you think I should try to sell the game back? I'm thinking I should and then surprise her when she comes back in a couple weeks. I will admit I'm loving MW2, though. I am tempted to keep it. What would yall do?

I will say this. If this is for real and you really did what you said you did then IMO you are a sorry piece of trash!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nothing more nothing less. I had to get my Daughter every other week for years. I had NO money at all. I paid my Child Support.. (NEVER LATE) And my bills got paid when I could pay them. But I tell you when it was my weekend to have her she got my 110% attention. We went fishing, hunting, walking and playing. And when I had had enough and her mother turned into the person you are describing I went to court and got 100% custody. (her mother has seen her about 5 times in 12 years) she is now a married woman with a beautiful son. (They are on the way to see Paw Paw as I type) And you can bet your last dollar I will be spending as much time with the both of them while they are here.

I also hope this thread is some kind of joke. If it isn't then you, in my opinion, don't deserve to see your daughter at all, much less every two weeks!! It was HER BIRTHDAY and you wasted your money AND the money your ex loaned you(for your daughters birthday gift) on a stupid game that YOU wanted? And then you made her sit in her room all weekend? What a piece of work you are.(insert expletive in place of work)
Do you even know what your girl's interests are? She has to have a favorite place she likes to eat at. Go with her to get her nails/hair done. Take her to the zoo. Play miniature golf with her. Take her fishing if she likes that. Heck, rent a couple of movies she likes and watch them with her. I could go on and on with ideas. Just spend some quality time with her doing whatever she likes.
If you do not take that game back ASAP and use the money on something for her, then you sir, are an idiot, and don't deserve the right to even be called daddy, because you are a self centered foolish child. Did I mention IDIOT??
