going to be at edisto june 10-17, i've always fished the edisto 40 and 60, but wanted to try the offshore reef. curious if anyone wanted to buddy boat out there just in case something goes wrong. im in a 20 ft cc with a honda 135.

whatever is there.. just been wanting to go the last few times ive been, but the weather and the ocean have never cooperated.. prob just bottom fish for whatever will bite.

sounds good, i'll keep in touch. had this planned last year but the water was a little too rough for me to try going out that far. hopefully it will be better this year.

When the weather cooperates, spadefish will be thick at the 60. Cobia will show, especially with the use of chum. Cudas and amberjack will also be there in force along with the endangered seabass. If it's too rough to venture that far, bluefish, ladyfish, whiting, and trout will be on the sandbar to the left of the entrance of the South Edisto River. If it's calm, I will most likely be in that area chasing spades and cobia.

How much fuel do you carry! MIght want to go to Edisto Banks or 226 hole if the weather is nice!

I have a 78 gal tank. My fuel burn is excellent thanks to my 4 stroke.

I caught three Cobia and three limits of BSB's yesterday near the 60. Spades were everywhere but wouldnt eat shrimp. Hooked in to a few large ones that broke off.

thanks for the report, im counting down the days, went friday but water was a little chopped up and didnt do as good as i hoped. more boats is no problem with me, just a little extra assurance.

Never saw the first jelly ball. The spades started eating shrimp but we had to leave because the wind and seas were picking up.

looks like i could be getting on the island anywhere between friday and sunday. sure would like to get down on friday, looks like the weekend is going to be a dream on the water.. big country, i dont know if i carry enough fuel to get to the ledge and back. how far of a ride is it?
