Got a late start Saturday Morning, got on the water about 9:00. Went further up than I have ever been on the lake. Fished for about 4 hours and got three fish. One 27", one 23" and one 20". Got bait from Dave Clyburn and it was really nice bait. Biggest bait Ive seen in a while. Went home to charge the batteries back up and went out again after the hail storm passed. Fished way point 147 again and caught a bunch of 18 to 22 inch fish. Let them all go, probably caught 20 fish with maybe 5 over 21. Caught another big cat too. 90% of the fish came on planers and freelines. These are the two keepers from the morning.

Good looking fish! How far is way up? As far as Silverstreet? Or Saluda River resort? Greenwood dam?

Can't give out all my secrets, wouldn't take much to make it too crowded.

Dang boatpoor. He done told you Waypoint 147!!! What else you want????

Can't remember ever hearing of so many having decent catches from literally one end of the lake to the other. Hoping to get out for a couple hours after work tomorrow. Won't have long, so hopefully can catch a few on the lower end.

Waypoint 147 is a super secret spot where two rivers come together, can't give that one away. I have another secret spot where there are 5 concrete towers. I decided to start using the site as my fishing journal. I keep finding myself going back to see what I caught when and where. So I plan on posting all my reports, good or bad.

hey tom; just going up to where the little and big saluda comes in is not way up the lake. you are about half way. that is just at spinner's resort. used to night fish there for crappie. there is a railroad bed on the right side going up. oops. did not mean to give your secret site away. anyway. you would have to have 6000 boats there to make it crowded. ha ha

That is not the spot I was referring to as way up. I was about 6 to 7 miles up the little saluda.
