Not sure who ghs is.....
Here are some really wonderful photos from the WWII era. This is actually color positive transparency film or more commonly called slide film. The unusual thing is that it was made for a 4x5 camera, and not the much more common 35 mm cameras. I loved using Kodachrome because the color was so true, however it was a very slow film. I just thought these were some really great photos because the lighting was perfect, they are very very sharp and crisp, and the colors are so bright. Hard to believe they are around 70 years old.

I used to love Kodachrome. I was not an Ektachrome guy. When shooting close up nature photos with flash I would use Kodachrome 25 which was incredibly fine grained with rich color. They quit making it and had to use Kodachrome 64 until that went away too. I don't know why but I still have all my 35 mm equipment. Should just throw it away I guess.

Like FLyvet, i have been a photographer for 40 years.
Shot 35mm,2 1/4, 4x5,8x10"
Just love those old film photos.
Actually switched from Kodak to Fuji in later years,better color.
Now we have to use digital,what a crime. No film library anymore.
Just hope all is not lost.

I LOVED shooting Kodachrome! I was an Aerial Combat Photojournalist for 22 years in the USAF and have been shooting since I was 11 years old... Those are great shots from the days when you actually had to KNOW how to use light  I kept all my 35mm film stuff and my Daughter is now in school for Photography so I gave it to her... good to see it being used again... I may even go get a few rolls of film and play around myself.
