tried sullys for the 1st time in the surf and before i got kicked outta my spot from the tide coming in i got a couple nice whiting in a short amount of time on squid. another interesting find i came across on the sand was a washed up cownose ray, however the entire back half was pretty clearly bitten off by a shark with the rest of the body covered in bite marks. anyone actually catch a shark off the surf yet? i did cut the wings off and tried them as bait but no hits.

well i got a 5 foot sandbar shark summer and saw a 7 foot lemon shark get reeled beside the boat as well and id say the bite mark would be fairly close to the 5 footer. definately bigger than a sharpnose, but not a 10 footer either. stuffed the wings in my freezer and no shortage of stingrays on base so ill be trying!
