I know it's a fishing forum but I'm so proud of my daughter who is 9 and just won chiefs choice for the SCDNR Reel Art contest. She's in third grade and she chose to make a torn paper collage of a Redfish. There were 889 entries statewide. Her art was on display at the Palmetto sportsman classic and will also be shown at the 2013 Southeastern wildlife expo!! Very cool. Did she do that on her own at home or at school?
Fishing and art...nice work!

Thanks for the kind words everyone. Yes, it was her idea and she did the work herself. She is homeschooled and is enrolled in an online academy. Our house is filling up with her artwork. She gets it from her mother who is also quite artsy fartsy. You should see the paintings. Truly gifted little girl. I'm just thankful that she loves to fish with her daddy.

hey guys this is chris saying hey from Afghanistan. I jump on here as much as can when the man isn't holding me down. LOL! Keep on posting bc it gives me a lil piece of home here and there. BTW Wirenut that art work ur daughter did is awesome. It really mad me smile but also made me miss fishing with my lil boy.... I think sometimes we all take for granted just how lucky we all are to be able to do wat we love (fishing) and share it with our loved ones and friends. Trust me i know!!! Anyways I am doing ok over here and as always Fish On!!!
