Fished with Dave Yates (charlestonfunfishing.com) on the afternoon of 4/12 and caught a few trout along the grasslines with DOAs and some bluefish on Gotchas in the Charleston Harbor. Saw a few reds but they wouldn't cooperate. Overall, it was a great trip and we had a lot of fun, and I HIGHLY recommend going with Capt. Dave on your next inshore or offshore trip.
Fished with a friend of mine the morning of 4/13 on the upper Wando from the Paradise Island landing. Saw a few reds early but they were really spooky, caught one decent flounder while sightcasting to one small group. Later, we were just about to leave our spot when my friend spotted a group of about 10 pushing up the bank. casted in front of them and let my bait sit and picked up this bad boy:
Both fish were caught on Gulp shrimp in new penny. Fish were finicky on both days but definitely had a lot of fun on both trips.
