Got a whole ham. Skinned it, cut scores into fat, and brined it for a week. Put it in oven at midnight at 275 degrees. For the last three hours I basted it with Dr. Pepper. Allowed to rest two hours before carving. Served with mac n chees and cucumber salad. My wife made her orange cream cake for desert.

My payment for fixing an old 8n tractor was a smokehouse cured ham. Took several strips of skin and deep fried making some of the best cracklin i've had in a long time! Can't go wrong with some ham, greens, mac and cheese. Just eat it early so your not up all night drinking water.
