My Dad, my 5 year old son and I decided to hit Cherry Grove for some much needed time on the water. I couldn't get the trolling motor to work, so I had to run the gas engine all day. We ended up with one 18"flounder, and several shorts, and one 18 " redfish. We didn't catch a lot, and I didn't see many fish caught, but it was so nice to be out on the boat with the boys again. The best part was watching Jonah reel those fish in. At 5, he's becoming a good angler, and is understanding about using the drag and when to reel and when not to. I only hope I can keep him interested. I guess as long as we catch fish, he'll like it. Hope to get back out sometime this week after the East wind stops blowing.

Mud minnows. Did see a few finger mullet out there, though. Good luck. We heading back out on Friday.
